Just When......

Mother Nature seems to keep everyone on their toes constantly. I think, or in around about way she likes that power instead... Last weekend, she gave weather, beautiful weather, light breezes to genuine gusts of wind, thunderstorms that we really didn't receive rain from, to a good amount of rain in the middle of the night.

I am certainly not complaining... especially about the weather...
But when you finally come to terms of her power, something more powerful happens...

I and my family experienced something that everyone in the world has experienced and even in worse ways and fashions than to us, but....

I took our family cat Mina, of 17 years to the veterinarian, she became lame in her left hind leg yesterday. I thought that maybe she jumped down from something and sprained it. I woke up at 4:00 a.m. this very morning to my husband calling out to me saying that Mina was meowing. So I jumped up, to get her to the litter box and well do her business, but I had to hold her up. I knew then that something was incredibly wrong. I knew in the back of my mind that it was the inevitable (huge sigh and cry..).

Mina Lookin' at me, a little irritated, for calling her name
I waited forever for the time to come around, for "the call" of the vet, it was another 4 hours before they opened, and time seemed to almost stand still. So thinking that this would be enjoyable for Mina,  I brought Mina outside to be in the garden and feel the coolness of the morning air and damp grass, and even the smell of the garden dirt, she was very happy, and very relaxed.

Finally the time came to call the vet, I couldn't even speak. The lady was very nice and did most of the talking, (thank you, to that person). I got Mina an appt to see the vet, and in some uncanny way She knew what was going to happen. Mina was of strong attitude and mind. She definitely had her big girl pants on.

We took her in to the room, the vet took a once over and said that it was most likely a blood clot in the spine or a tumor, even a spinal disease possibly. Mina was in NO Pain what-so-ever, just frustrated because she couldn't move. Any of those diagnoses was not good and told me that there wasn't much that I can do to keep the quality of life or spirit in her.

Listening to Ry talk to her

looking at Ry like she is wanting to say something back

So, My family came to the ultimate decision, The morning of September 16, 2011 her very last day to be here with her family.

  Love You Mina!!!

MOTHER NATURE

I bring Mother into this because as I went to water the garden, every day I wondered if my pumpkin seed would sprout and I began to give up, I even looked around this morning to see if there was even a peep of them to sprout nothing,  and was just come to terms that I was too late at planting them,  3:00 this afternoon look at what decided to show up and say hello!!!

So if what ever Mother Nature's thoughts are they are surly amazing, mysterious and continuous ... May be thanking her for keep me as well as anyone on their toes and reminding us of those things, like life and death or the big circle of life, which makes me thankful for everyone who enter and stay for awhile or not in my life.

Look at these squash plants! They are beautiful and getting big I hope that they produce something!!!

I have lettuce sprouts so I hope to have a nice little crop going this winter or so...
well not a good picture but I hope that you get the idea...

Well, feeling somewhat choked up as of now, so a little bit of reading and resting and such for today is in store for me....
